11 November 2016

Boots has renewed its lease at the Cleveland Centre, Middlesbrough, for a further 10 years, effective from October 2016.

The health and beauty retailer occupies unit 20 in the Centre Mall. Totalling 54,000 sq ft, the store has a prominent frontage onto Linthorpe Road, one of the towns main pedestrianised thoroughfares.

Boots is the UKs leading pharmacy chain. It sells healthcare, beauty and photographic products across the UK and Ireland and has over 2,500 stores in high street, shopping centre and airport locations. In addition, the company provides optician and hearing care services within their stores and standalone practices.

Internationally, Boots alliance with American pharmacy company Walgreens in December 2014 created the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise in the world. Walgreens Boots Alliance now has over 13,200 stores in 11 countries.

Rob Lewis at Lee Baron acted on behalf of landlord New Frontier Properties. Alison Gurney of Waypoint Asset Management coordinated the deal.
